Lake Hickory Country Club Wedding!

Last week we had the privilege of doing a simple wedding at the Lake Hickory Country Club.

The bright colors again the white cake really popped and made a simple statement. A great trick when you are not using a lot of flowers.

Our bride specifically requested large bright gerbers floating in these bowls and goblet on top a mirror.
It was a simple arrangement but when scattered all around the room, and in different color combinations, it really made a statement.

The tall arrangements, also scattered around the room, featured large bright gerbers in a cluster of long grass. Tucked inside the grass was a simple white LED light.

Preparing For A Big Wedding At Lake Hickory Country Club
Hopefully very soon we will be able to post a few pictures from our Country Club wedding this past weekend. In the meantime, you can catch a glimpse of some of the little details.

Rehearsal Dinner at Lake Hickory Country Club
This past weekend, we had the opportunity to do the flowers for a rehearsal dinner hosted by the Lake Hickory Country Club. It was such a pleasure to do flowers that were not the usual, traditional, style and flowers for a wedding event.

A black vase filled on the head table was the anchor for all the arrangements. This particular arrangement combined the other two styles into one. (See photo above).

The tall arrangement consisted of an unusual twist on an ocean theme. The bottom of the clear glass vases were seashells resting on a bed of sand while moss and purple sea lavender added a some simple pops of color.
A top the beautiful glass vase were blue and white hydrangeas, some sea lavender, and grass which mimicked sea grass blowing in the breeze.

The smaller arrangements consisted of square cube vases and black river rocks resting on a round mirror. Bright yellow flowers and white queen ann’s lace all placed in random fashion looked stunning with the green galax leaves supporting them.
