When it comes time to order flowers, many consumers go to FTD/Teleflora online sites. They seem easy to use and display a lot of different arrangement options to view. Often times the florist does not have the necessary flowers or vases shown in the pictures because they did not put the pictures there in the first place. Shops who use FTD/Teleflora sites sign up with a service to receive the orders.  The florist who receives the order may not have ever made the arrangement in the picture.

By speaking directly to the florist you can gain a feel of their personality, if they are excited to create something special for you, and exactly what they have available to make your arrangement.  Often times you can negotiate free delivery or additional add-ons that are not available from ordering online.
