Rachael West Appears at Mosteller Mansion Again!
A beautiful place for any wedding in and around Hickory, NC is of course the Mosteller Mansion. Once again I had the joy of having a wedding at the Mosteller Mansion and I’d like to share it with you.
Throughout this event at Mosteller Mansion there was a large variety of flowers used with arrangements appearing everywhere you looked.

Beautiful reds...
Throughout this wedding the use of some beautiful reds and whites in some tall elegant flower arrangements help set the romantic mood. The taller vases helped accent the final arrangements with the miniature vases placed throughout the reception hall. The contrasts in size between the two was just right.
With this wedding being held at the Mosteller Mansion there was a lot of space to fill up, so I enjoyed having some fun placing the arrangements throughout the rooms allowing a little touch of elegance appear everywhere you looked. If you are planning a North Carolina wedding then you may want to try getting your wedding booked at the Mosteller Mansion.
Ever Lasting
Lasting arrangements are just as popular as ever. Maybe it is due to the tight economy or maybe we like the convenience of having something that always looks good, but we don’t have to fuss with. Either way, ever lasting flowers make a great addition to any space.
While our main focus is fresh, cut flowers at RWD, we do have and incorporate permanent flowers in our shop. We will custom design the perfect arrangement for you that you can take with you, keep for many years, and enjoy!
Don’t forget we do interior design orders, business orders, and holidays.
Local Wedding At The Crowne Plaza Hotel
Yesterday we finished up a beautiful wedding that began at the First Presbyterian church in Hickory, North Carolina and then wrapped up in the ballroom of the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The bride chose for her flowers two varieties of greens so that all the arrangements were lush and full along with pink roses, red roses, and white lilies. The bright colors really “popped” and looked incredible.

For this wedding there were two types of centerpiece arrangements. Pictured below is the smaller of the two which consisted of square cubed vases with a black band around each vase while the flowers were nestled in a bed of greens.

Wired Orchids
This whimsical arrangement consisted of green hydrangeas, some hot pink tropical leaves looped as an accent, green orchids wired to curly willow branches, and a green wire looped around base of vase.
The orchids last several days out of water and created a great a really fun sculptural piece for the local art museum.
